A fan of the original BBC's House of Cards has found eery parallels between an episode of the show that ran in 1993 and the massive fire at Grenfell Tower in West London.
Vimeo user Al-Jazz edited fragments of episode featuring a storyline in which a gas explosion on the fourth floor of a tower block results in the whole building getting ablaze, killing 70 people.
In the episode of character Chloe Carmichael can be heard saying: "These are people that have been left to rot, the people who couldn't afford to buy their council flats, people who couldn't afford to buy the gas bill. [It was] a disaster waiting to happen." Read more...
