PACK YOUR BAGS MCA – NAJIB GIVES THE SIGNAL FOR MALAYS TO SLAP CHINESE WITH IMPUNITY: INSTEAD OF ORDERING IGP TO CHARGE MALAY ACTOR, NAJIB MERELY SAYS ‘TOO INTENSE’

KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said things went overboard during last night’s National Transformation 2050 (TN50) dialogue when an actor slapped a director in front of him.

On Twitter, the prime minister also said the differences that led to the altercation has been laid to rest.

“Discussion got a little too intense yesterday! A lively discussion but it’s all good now. All will be heard for @myTN50,” he wrote on his @najibrazak account.

Some groups feel otherwise, however, and are planning a protest later today outside Datuk David Teo’s Metrowealth Pictures (MiG) over the incident.

According to the obscure GMPN group that is organising the protest, organisations that have confirmed their attendance include the Red Shirts Movement and Kelab Artis 1Malaysia.

They insist that Teo apologise for his conduct yesterday, and called the protest a “lesson” to Malaysians that they could not be uncouth in the presence of the prime minister.

Actor Sulaiman Yassin slapped Teo yesterday after the latter criticised the moderator of the event for allegedly ignoring attendees not seated in the front rows.

The New Straits Times today reported Sulaiman as saying he did not regret his actions, while Teo indicated that he will not pursue the matter further.

The TN50 event yesterday was a round table discussion between the PM and the nation’s leading entertainers to find out their aspirations for the entertainment industry by 2050.
