NAJIB’S DESPERATE ECONOMIC POLICIES BITE: MORE PETROL STATIONS CLOSE DOWN DUE TO WEEKLY PRICE SWING
PETALING JAYA – Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM) said many petrol station operators in the country had given up their dealership because they could no longer cope with the weekly swing in retail fuel prices.
PDAM president Datuk Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz said some 30 to 40 petrol stations had ceased operation since the abolition of fuel subsidies in December 2014.
“More so in recent weeks following the weekly price change mechanism beginning April 1.
“More dealers will give up their dealership if the trend continues,” he told The Star.
