Here’s an easy but essential success tip you can steal from the billionaire’s success playbook: exercise.

Working out is a habit the wealthy tend to have in common — 76 percent of the rich exercise for at least 30 minutes every day, according to Tom Corley, author of “Change Your Habits, Change Your Life.”

These five billionaires give partial credit for their success and happiness to physical fitness.

1. Richard Branson

“I seriously doubt that I would have been as successful in my career (and happy in my personal life) if I hadn’t always placed importance on my health and fitness,” explains the serial entrepreneur in a recent blog.

Branson says he likes to play tennis, go biking, run and kite surf.

“I definitely can achieve twice as much by keeping fit,” says Branson to FourHourBodyPress. “It keeps the brain functioning well.”

2. Mark Zuckerberg

“Staying in shape is very important,” says the Facebook founder in a Q&A on his social media site. “Doing anything well requires energy, and you just have a lot more energy when you’re fit.

“I make sure I work out at least three times a week — usually first thing when I wake up.”

3. Oprah Winfrey

“I try to do something every day that allows me to feel active,” Oprah tells People. Recently, for her, that means yoga and getting in 10,000 steps a day.

4. Mark Cuban

Mark Cuban says his dedication to exercise is like his commitment to business: “That I will find a way to get [a workout] done, I think, reflects how relentless I can be in the business world as well.”

Cuban says he always tries to get an hour of cardio. And it riles up his competitive spirit: “[I] have to go longer than anyone who started before me,” he says. That once meant going for more than two hours trying to outdo the guy on the machine next to him — who was training for a six-hour run.

5. Jack Dorsey

The CEO of Twitter and Square, Jack Dorsey reportedly puts in 18-hour work days. He considers exercise a way to get more out of his already packed schedule.

It’s part of his routine: “Up at 5:00, meditate for 30, seven-minute workout times three, make coffee, check in …” reveals Dorsey in an AMA on Product Hunt.

“Same thing every day,” says Dorsey. “[It] allows a steady state that enables me to be more effective.”
