KFC is looking for its first Pinoy Colonel Sanders.
In its bid to find the local version of a fastfood icon, KFC Philippines has signed up three of the country’s top actors for one hilarious mock audition.
Veteran Filipino actors Ronaldo Valdez, Leo Martinez, and Pen Medina showcased their acting chops in hopes of becoming the first Pinoy face of Kentucky Fried Chicken in the now viral video posted on the official Facebook page of KFC Philippines last May 22.
Each actor gave his own take in portraying the character.
Valdez almost mimicked exactly how the original Sanders looked after donning the iconic Colonel Sanders all-white suit.
Martinez, a comedian, portrayed Sanders using his native accent to comedic effect.
For his part, serious character actor Medina, played the character as if portraying a real “colonel” of the army.

They also did some scenes pretending to enjoy some KFC fried chicken out of a bucket, and then delivering the brand’s famous tagline, “It’s finger lickin’ good!”
According to the video, the chosen Pinoy Colonel Sanders will be revealed on May 29.
The 2-minute clip, which was received positively by Filipino netizens, earned tons of praise for the humor and uniqueness of the ad. Some even posted their own bets in the comments section.
Viewed over 3 million times, the “audition” video, has been shared over 47 thousand times as of this writing, accumulating over 13 thousand comments and 133 thousand positive reactions.
