If you want to check out Dear Evan Hansen, the buzzy new toast of Broadway, you better hope to already have tickets for this summer.
The blockbuster new show just scored several Tony noms this morning, including one for Best Actor frontrunner Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect).
It'll compete for best new musical alongside Come From Away, Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 and Groundhog Day. The race is mainly thought to be a two-way competition between Evan Hansen, about an anxious teen and a lie that spirals out of control, and Come From Away, which is based on a true story about a small town in Canada in the days following 9/11.
