A few hours ago, Prime Minister Najib Razak had front row seats to a slapfest at Transformasi Nasional. The fight featured actor Sulaiman Yassin, better known as Mat Over, lurching over a crowd to hit the Metrowealth Pictures (MiG) CEO Datuk David Teo.

Sulaiman took offence to Datuk Teo’s belligerent criticism of the moderator Rosyam Nor for only paying attention to the crowd in the front, and not taking questions from those in the back. Holding the microphone, he tells Nor that the moderator should not just focus on the first row. Fair point, but maybe not something you want to rant about in front of the Prime Minister like you’re complaining about cold soup in a restaurant.

Datuk Teo is one of Malaysia’s most powerful movie bosses. The slapper, Mat Over is a veteran of the country’s film industry.

The situation was resolved when the two gentlemen got escorted out of the building like a fighting couple on a Friday night.

All in all, pretty embarrassing. And … Where the security at? You can’t even get a slap in at Kyo these days without getting escorted out.
