Coco Hamamatsu is just 6 years old, but she has already become an influential social media star for being both more fashionable and adorable than the rest of us.
The young Japanese girl has already gained a huge following on Instagram because of her cool poses and trendy clothes.
What makes her stand out from most of the child models out there is her unique styling which does away with the usual kiddie fare. You won’t find any Hello Kitty-themed outfits or any Disney princess garb in her get ups.
Hamamatsu confidently wears clothes in a variety of styles including streetwear, normcore, and even punk. At her young age, she can also pull off even glamorous dresses like professionals do.
In a video interview with Vice, it was revealed that her family owns a vintage store called Funktique in the Harajuku district of Tokyo, Japan. This is where she sources her great outfits. According to Hamamatsu, she loves choosing the clothes she would wear on photo shoots.
Hamamatsu’s mother, Misato, earlier revealed in a Vogue feature that her daughter’s fascination with fashion began at the age of three.
Although social media fame can bring tons of pressure to an individual, especially on a 6-year-old, Hamamatsu has so far been handling her online celebrity status with finesse.
Misato explained that Hamamatsu does what she loves and only gets busy with her Instagram account after school.
Hamamatsus growing following on her Instagram account has reached over 66,000 followers as of this writing.
